Downloadable Content

You can connect to the Internet and download new quests and other bonuses by selecting DLC from the main menu, or by talking to the Chamberlyne.

*At least 30 blocks of free space is required on your SD card to save downloaded data. Please do not remove the SD card during the game.
*To download content, you must have set up your Nintendo 3DS system's Internet Settings. For more information, please refer to the Nintendo 3DS Operations Manual.

Quests

Download quests.

*Event and Challenge Quests can be taken via the Gathering and Elder Hall Quest Counters or the Arena Quest Counters.
*You can initiate Episodic Quests by talking to the Felyne providing your room service. After you have chosen an Episodic Quest, a character will show up at the Gathering Hall or Elder Hall. Talk to that character to get the quest. You can join quests that other players have downloaded even if you haven't downloaded them yourself. However, even if you take on an Episodic Quest with other players, it will only count as cleared for the player that posted it.

Palicoes

Download special bonus Palicoes.

Select the Palicoes you wish to download, and then either press Xボタン or touch the Download button on the Touch Screen.

Bonuses

Download new backgrounds and titles for your Guild Card, and other bonuses.

Press Xボタン or touch the Download All button on the Touch Screen to download any bonuses you haven't received yet.

Gift Area

Connect to the Gift Area to acquire downloadable content.

*Gift Area can only be accessed by talking to the Housekeeper in your house and selecting Downloadable Content.
*Acquiring additional content requires a Nintendo Network ID. For more information please refer to the Nintendo 3DS system's Operations Manual.

Monster Hunter 4 Ultimate allows you to play with other players via the internet, download quests and other bonuses, and acquire downloadable content via the Gift Area. For more information, please refer to the "Other Online Features" section.

*Connecting to the internet requires you to set up your system's Internet Settings. For more information, please refer to the Nintendo 3DS system's Operations Manual.

Regarding Internet Features

  • Friend codes are a part of a system that allows you to play with people you know. If you exchange friend codes with strangers, there is a risk you could share information with people you do not know or exchange messages that contain offensive language. We therefore recommend that you do not give your friend codes to people you don't know.

  • To protect your privacy, do not give out personal information, such as last name, phone number, birth date, age, school, e-mail, or home address when communicating with others.

  • The game's servers may be temporarily offline due to maintenance, etc. without prior notice. Service may also be terminated in the future.

  • Capcom bears no responsibility whatsoever for any problems that result from the use of the Internet.
