Menu Items

Press STARTボタン to open the menu. Then use 十字ボタン to select an item from the menu, and use Aボタン to confirm.

During a Quest/In Town

Item Pouch

Check to see what items you're currently carrying.
*A Field Pouch is added while you're on a Quest.

Combo List

Select items from your combo list to quickly create items.

Quest Info

View details of the Quest you're currently on.

Palicoes

View the status and equipment of the Palicoes accompanying you.

Hunter's Notes

Read up on basic information, monster information, and other helpful tips.

Status

View the status of your hunter.

Equipment

View details on your weapon, armor, and other equipment.

Gestures

Perform specific gestures with your hunter.

Options

Adjust various in-game settings.

Quest-only Options

Pause

Pause the game temporarily. During a Quest, the game will automatically pause if the system enters Sleep Mode. You can unpause the game by pressing Aボタン, Bボタン, or STARTボタン.
*Only available when offline.

End via Subquest

Once you've fulfilled a Quest's Subquest, use this option to return to town without having to fulfill the main objective.

Abandon Quest/Return to Town

Abandon the current Quest. During an Expedition, you can return to town at any time.

Signal

With the menu open, press Xボタン to direct your Palicoes during a Quest and to let other players know your current position during Multiplayer.

Zoom Map In/Out

With the menu open, press Yボタン to zoom in or out of the map.

Town-only Options

Chat

Open the chat menu.

Guild Cards

View or edit your Guild Card, send it to other players, and view other players' Guild Cards.

Kick Players

Remove specific players from the Gathering Hall during Online Multiplayer. (You can only do this when there is a flag marker beside your name on the player list on the Touch Screen.)

Quit Game

Quit the game and return to the title screen.
