Elder Hall

Dundorma's Elder Hall is where you'll find the super difficult G-rank quests. Gather with other players locally or over the internet at the Gathering Hall and work together to clear quests.

To access the Elder Hall, you must finish a certain number of quests at Val Habar's Gathering Hall.

Solo and Multiplayer

You can use the Elder Hall at any time, but the features available and the number of people who can embark on a quest together will be different depending on if you are online or offline.

*Quest content will always be the same.

Solo

Tackle quests by yourself. You can bring up to two Palicoes with you.

Multiplayer

  • Tackle quests with other players.
  • If you have only 2 players on a quest, each player's Main Palico will join the party.

You can change your online settings by tapping the "Solo/Multiplayer" button found on the Touch Screen when you're on the world map.

For more information, please see "Setting up Local Play" and "Setting up Online Multiplayer".

Quest Counter

At the Elder Hall's Quest Counter, you can choose from a variety of different quests. Post your own quests for others to join, or join someone else's quest.

The Elder Hall's quests begin with G1. To join more difficult G-rank quests, you will need to finish the lower G-rank quests and get a special permit. In order to join G1 quests, your Hunter Rank must be above 7.

Quest Board

Search the Quest Board for quests that other players have posted (available only in a multiplayer Gathering Hall)

Minister

Talk to the Minister to change Location, Hunter Type, Quest Type, Target, Message and Passcode settings for your local or internet Gathering Hall.

Canteen

The Canteen in the Elder Hall works in the same way as the Open-air Kitchen you find at various villages. If you use a Voucher in an online Gathering Hall, all players will receive the same benefits.
