Setting up Local Play
1. Touch the Hunters Hub icon on the World Map and select Multiplayer, talk to the Flight Cattendant, or travel directly to the Hunters Hub from Bherna and select Online Hunters Hub.
2. Select Local Play, then either Create Hub or Search Hubs.
Creating a Hunters Hub
Invite other players to join your Hunters Hub.
When creating your Hunters Hub, you can set up criteria for the type of hunters you want to play with by designating Hunter Type and Quest Type. If you set up a passcode, make sure your friends know what it is! All of these settings can be changed afterwards by selecting Hub Settings under Wireless Settings in the Start Menu.

Target Priority
Designate which monster you'd like to hunt.
Quest Type
Designate which Quest you'd like to do.
Hunter Rank
Set the range of HR you want in your Hunters Hub. You can select any range between 1 and 999.
Capacity
Set the number of people who can enter your Hunters Hub. You can select between 2 and 4 people.
Apply Range
If you select Yes, any hunters outside of your HR range will not be able to join your Hunters Hub.
Passcode
Set a passcode to protect your Hunters Hub. If you select Everyone, then even people on your friend list will need to input the passcode, but if you select Exclude Friends, your friends will be able to join without the need of a passcode.
Hub Name
Enter a name for your Hunters Hub, up to 12 characters.
Your Hunters Hub name may be viewed by a large number of people. Please refrain from using a name that may offend others, or reveal personal information like an address or telephone number.
Messages 1-4
You can set up to four messages for your Hunters Hub.
Searching for a Hunters Hub
Search and join other Hunters Hubs around you.
In the search results screen, the Hunters Hub name will appear. Select a Hub to view details such as the hunters currently in the Hub and Quest status.

Using Hunter Search
You can search for nearby players playing Monster Hunter Generations by touching the Hunter Search button located on the Touch Screen. Those who appear as Online are in a local Hunters Hub that can be joined.
