Character REveal: Hot-blooded Hero, Chris Redfield

Hello, everyone!
Today, I'd like to do a deep dive on one of the Resident Evil series' most iconic characters: Chris Redfield.
Since his debut in the first Resident Evil game, Chris has become a fan-favorite character.
Whether you're a long-time Chris fan, or someone who's just learning about him, keep reading and let me know what you think!

A pre-mega-buff Chris from the first Resident Evil.

As mentioned before, Chris appeared in the first Resident Evil game.
The Bravo Team of S.T.A.R.S., the elite squad of the Raccoon City police force, have gone missing while investing the strange murders occurring in the Arklay Mountains. Chris and the Alpha Team head out to investigate.

In the first Resident Evil game, Chris ventures into the Arklay Mountains to search for the missing Bravo Team.

Instead of the Bravo Team, Chris and his crew find vicious, grotesque creatures thirsting for blood. To escape their pursuit, Chris and the others retreat to a nearby mansion.
It's there that Chris learns the truth of the Umbrella Corporation and its T-Virus. As he escapes, he vows to put an end to the evil corporation's machinations.
The Mansion Incident spurs Chris on to join more concerted efforts to combat bioterror. If it were me in that mansion, I wouldn't have survived one minute of that hell, let alone gone out of my way to seek more! Chris really is one tough guy!

Chris later joins the Bioterrorism Security Assessment Alliance (BSAA) and neutralizes bioterror threats the world over. He eventually joins up with his former partner Jill Valentine to apprehend the former head of Umbrella, Ozwell E. Spencer, at his estate.

But when the two get there, they find the old man murdered, and a familiar face looming over the body...

They engage Wesker in a battle that ultimately ends in Jill dragging Wesker off a cliff in order to protect Chris.

It was real tough watching a beloved character like Jill get killed like that. I wanted more than anything for them to bring her back somehow!

Chris no doubt felt the same way, and when he heard Jill's still alive and in Africa, he was more than prepared to find her while on his mission to apprehend the Merchant of Death, Ricardo Irving.

Upon arriving in Africa, Chris meets up with fellow BSAA member Sheva Alomar.
Sheva lost both her parents in a bioterror attack, so she's got more than enough motivation for the mission.
Sheva's steadfast commitment to her job and her comrades reignites within Chris the passion and optimism he once had.
Though Chris is eventually reunited with his partner Jill, she seems... different... Play the game to find out what's going on!

Chris and Sheva's mission culminates in the successful stopping of Wesker's plan to spread the Uroboros virus. Chris is also finally able to settle the score with Wesker and end a long and bitter rivalry.

In Resident Evil Village, Chris leads an elite band of operatives known as the Hound Wolf Squad. He's come a long way since the days of the first Resident Evil...

You can take control of this more experienced and battle-hardened Chris in Resident Evil Village. If you haven't played it yet, get to it!

To explore the history of Chris Redfield is to explore the history of the Resident Evil series itself! You can't mention icon characters from the series without mentioning Chris!
